Social Impact Actions
We support social initiatives such as projects in the area of sports, culture, education and technology, prioritizing the communities living in the vicinity of our head offices. You can read more about these initiatives below.
Culture
- “Tress, Forests and Timber“
Through the Rouanet Cultural Incentive Law, we sponsored publication of Árvores, Florestas e Madeiras (“Trees, Forests and Timber”), a book about the uses and representations of these phenomena throughout the history of Brazil , their relationship to the dynamics of society, and the need to become more aware of their importance. Copies will be donated to non-profit institutions and public schools in the Baixada Fluminense area, where the authors will talk to students about the appreciation of our tangible and intangible heritage.
- “Women in Brazil: How we got here”
Mulheres no Brasil: Como chegamos até aqui (“Women in Brazil: How we got here”) is a book about the different places occupied by Brazilian women and how we arrived at the current situation, focusing on their experiences and the changes they have helped bring about. It reaffirms the participation of women, often invisible to society, in events of the 18th to the 20th century. Via the Rouanet Incentive Law, we supported publication of the book, talks by the authors, and donation of copies to non-profit institutions and public schools.
