Carbon Neutral
BOCOM BBM has received the Voluntary Cancellation certificate for three consecutive years for offsetting its greenhouse gas emissions from 2022, 2023, and 2024. This milestone was achieved through the purchase of 591 carbon credits in 2022, 671 in 2023, and 647 in 2024, which correspond to the same amount in tons of CO₂ equivalent. The project is certified by the UN Clean Development Mechanism, ensuring the credibility and positive impact of BOCOM BBM’s actions. It was also supported by the ISS Neutral Program, an initiative of the Rio de Janeiro City Hall through the Secretariat of Economic Development, which promotes tax compensation as an incentive for companies to offset their GHG emissions by purchasing carbon credits.
GHG Protocol - Gold
The Bank earned the Gold Seal in the 2022, 2023, and 2024 inventories of the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, the highest level that participating companies can obtain. This seal recognizes the completeness of the inventories prepared in accordance with the global standard for measuring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Conducted by the Center for Sustainability Studies at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGVces), the program is dedicated to promoting a corporate culture of accounting for, preparing, and publishing inventories in the Public Emissions Registry. Our consecutive participation in this initiative demonstrates our progress in the strategic sustainability agenda, contributing to the environment through actions aimed at mitigating the advance of climate change.

Global Hybrid Classroom Program
We support the Global Hybrid Classroom program, developed by Tsinghua University, which promotes collaboration and the exchange of knowledge between educational institutions around the world.
